Pork Tenderloin Marinade

This is a recipe that we used all the time before paleo, except we used soy sauce and canola oil.  I have swapped out both of those with paleo friendly replacements and the marinade is still a family favorite.  You can use this marinade on most meats.  We have used it with pork tenderloin, chicken  breasts, and a recipe my family calls “Sticks” which is thinly sliced steak on a skewer.


1/4 c. coconut aminos

2 Tb. honey

2 Tb. red wine vinegar

1/4 tsp. garlic powder

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1/4 c. oil (I had been using olive oil, but after hearing from a friend that it releases free radicals when heated during cooking I think I will try palm oil or avocado oil instead.)

1/4-1/2 c. chopped cilantro

What to do…

Mix all the ingredients together in a gallon Ziploc bag.  Add your meat of choice to marinade and let marinade in the frige several hours if possible overnight.  Drain off the marinade and throw onto a hot BBQ.
